When Life Insurance Stories Hit Home

Two Men Drown on Lake Pokegama

A church outing on Lake Pokegama one evening turned tragic when two men drowned while assisting youth in the group. Albert Hermiston, 63, and Nathan Junker, 30, both of Grand Rapids, MN died. Several youth were swimming near a sandbar in Lake Pokegama when it started to get windy. There is a 3o foot drop-off approximately two car-lengths from the sandbar. Hermiston and Junker saw the youth drifting and heading in the direction of the drop-off. So they went to help. Hermiston gave one of the youth his life jacket. When the youth started moving toward shore, Hermiston started to struggle and Junker went to help. They both disappeared.

"Junker had life insurance and it was nice to deliver his family a check so they could stay in their house."

Tis the season: Give the of GIFT Life Insurance

Life has a way of offering up bad breaks, even when Neva Knoll is just 11 years old. The Ham Lake 5th Grader was sitting on a casting table at Gillette Chrildren's Hospital. A pony fell on top of her leg at her sister Morgan's 6th birthday party in July.

Last autumn, Neva, Morgan and their mother, Melissa, suffered something far more devastating than a broken leg. They lost their dad and husband. He was really, really healthy then, instantly, he was really sick. He died.

Greg Knoll was a fun-loving adventurous, Minneapolis Police SWAT Team member who was stricken with stomach cancer at 38 years of age. In a flash, everything Greg and Melissa has worked for could have been lost. In financial things and taking care of the family, he was really strong and very responsible in taking care of us. "It was very unexpected to lose Greg. It was never in our plans, but the plans that he made with the life insurance took care of us so that we are able to stay in our house and the girls are still able to dance."

Nobody wants to end up in a cemetery prematurely, but unforunately people do all of the time. Still, it is estimated that 68 million Americans have no life insurance whatsoever. Life Insurance companies say that those who do have life insurance, on average, do not have enough.

Parents

Wow, a month since I have written. I have been running to daylight and I have arrived. Yeah! I wanted to let you know that I bought life insurance for my parents for Christmas. It is one of the best purchases I have made. I think that it is a good idea so my parents have some money to keep their life together when one of them passes away. It also helps me....they will not be living in my basement and/or asking me for money. Think about it this year....buy your parents life insurance.

I apologize I have not been writing as often as I was. I am running to daylight in my business which ends 11/17. Wish me luck. Then I can start working more on my business rather than in my business so it can grow like it should.

I am talking to more and more people these days about life insurance. I think people are starting to understand the importance of it and what peace of mind it can bring. I think we are all looking for more peace of mind these days.

Wishing you peace in your heart and mind,
Jena

Let me tell you a story....

I went "home" this past weekend for a family reunion. It was great to see family I haven't see in over a decade. It is crazy how time passes so quickly. Anyway, we went to the liquor store, (sometimes this is the only way to handle family) and as we were about to check out I noticed a big bucket on the counter. My aunt said to the check out person, "What happened to Pam Wagner?" "Oh, she died" said the lady. "Of what?" "Bone Cancer" "Wow!" The bucket was to collect donations for the medical bills the family now has due to her illness. It is so hard to see a family mourning the loss of a loved one and then have the burden of medical bills. If only I could reach everyone and talk to them about having life insurance to protect their families. Pam needed life insurance and now it's too late.

The Tara Newby Story

If this doesn't convince you that you and your family need life insurance, I don't know what will.

First Time Home Buyer?

Are you a first time home buyer? If so, you just bought into one of the largest, if not the largest, asset and debt you will ever have. More often than not, you purchased your home with a significant other and rely on their income to make the mortgage payment. What if they passed away unexpectedly? Or you? What if....? Most of us don't like to talk about it but it is a true possibility. Life Insurance will save your family from losing the home to the bank.... www.lifehappens.org

Just graduated college?...

And just landed your first REAL job?....Then I know you bought your first new car and a flat screen TV or at least thinking about it. So once you have these "assets" in your possession, how do you protect them? Well, insurance is a good start. And you may have insurance but are you protected properly against theft, fire, accidents, lawsuits, etc.? How do you know if you are? How important is it? Life Insurance: Now More Than Ever

We have all heard the back and forth discussion on the news about whether life insurance is something that we should hang on to during this economy. I was doing some research on this very topic and found a great non-profit that helps consumers make this decision. Check it out: www.lifehappens.org
