Guerrilla Marketing

Marketing is the MOST important activity you can do for your business. Your business WILL fail without out marketing which turns into sales. So as you are paddeling through the muck of this economy, do not stop marketing. There are plenty of FREE things you can do to market your business: google maps, blogging, facebook, linked in, twitter, calling people you know, emailing, vmails, etc. You can even solicite for free. All of these things take no to very little money and make a huge impact on your business. Right now, you probably have more time than money so do the things you can that don't cost a lot. Never stop marketing.

Emotional Connection

What is emotional connection and what is its value? This is the question that I throw out to you to think about when it comes to your business life. Do you own a business or do you own a project at work? If yes, then you need to add emotional connection to make it successful. In my insurance agency, I work to make sure my clients are emotionally connected to me and to the product they are buying. Insurance is a promise to deliver when you need it the most. When you are in trouble and need help, insurance is there for you. I am there for you. This very concept makes my agency successful.

So think about what you are working on and are others emotionally connected to make it a success.

A rated client

One of my A rated clients and I have a bowling competition going on. We bowl every 6 months or so and he tries to beat me. Keep in mind that I am not a good bowler and I beat him in the first round by 107. Sad I know. However, he beat me in the second round by 140. So we were slowly improving. Now we are 2 to 1. I am the 2.

It sure is funny the relationships that are built through business....

Short Term and Long Term Needs

What are your short term and long terms needs when it comes to protecting your family? And the word family can mean different things to different people so I use this term lightly. Protecting your family with life insurance can meet the financial part of these needs. Short term needs are debt payoff and children's college fund. Long term needs are funeral costs, income replacement and end of life medical expenses.

In your life insurance portfolio you should have a combination of term and whole life insurance. Term life is to meet the short terms needs on a 10, 20 and 30 year basis. Whole life will be for your entire life and will be there to help whenever you need it. It is also great because it builds a cash value with a guaranteed interest rate of return. It is nice to know that you are putting money way that will both protect your family and build something for yourself that you can actually use in your life time.

Do you recieve child support?

Do you recieve child support? What is something happened to your ex? In most cases you would stop recieveing child support. Now what? Guarantee continued child support through life insurance.

Are you a co-owner of a business?

Are you a co-owner of a business? What happens to the business if something happens to a partner? Typically the business goes the individuals spouse or estate. Do you want to do business with your partner's spouse? Do you want him/her making business decisions? In most cases the answer is no. If that is the case the business needs a buy-sell agreement. Most companies do not have enough cash to pay off the spouse so it is funded by life insurance.
